GP Batteries is looking for a Business Development & Sales Manager for the Western European Market!

What are you going to do?
In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving the growth of our business in the Western European industrial market. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and developing strategies to enhance our market presence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identify, evaluate, and target new business opportunities and high-growth segments within the industrial component B2B European market;
- Design and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue budget goals, expand market share, and meet long-term business objectives;
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers in target organizations such as procurement, engineering, and technical teams;
- Develop and manage relationships with channel partners, distributors, and resellers to align with business objectives, drive growth, and optimize product distribution across regions;
- Manage key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and growth, negotiating contracts, pricing, and other agreements as necessary;
- Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, R&D and operations, to align solutions with customer needs and market demands;
- Conduct continuous market research to track industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities, providing insights to guide product development and sales efforts;
- Assist in developing customized solutions by leveraging internal resources to meet customer and channel partner requirements and deliver added value;
- Monitor sales performance, analyse results, and implement improvements to enhance conversion rates and profitability;
- Keep a close watch on competitors’ strategies and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge and adapt sales approaches as needed;
- Set and track performance metrics such as revenue growth, customer acquisition, opportunity conversion rates, and market share expansion;
- Be willing to travel across regions to meet clients and channel partners, as well as attend industry events (up to 70% of the time).

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual who is passionate about business development and sales in the B2B industrial components market. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of experience, technical knowledge, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. An MBA is a plus;
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management in the B2B industrial components market;
- Strong experience in channel management, including managing distributors and resellers in the industrial space;
- Experience working with large organizations or multinational companies (MNCs) is preferred;
- Familiarity with industrial sectors such as manufacturing, energy, or automotive is highly advantageous;
- Strong understanding of the industrial component landscape, including market trends, key players, and supply chain dynamics;
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills;
- Strong analytical abilities with a strategic mindset and business acumen;
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Understanding of technical products and the ability to discuss complex solutions with customers, channel partners, and internal teams;
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and data analytics software to track sales performance and manage customer and channel partner relationships;
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Dutch, German, French) is a plus;
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and customer-focused;
- Strong leadership qualities and a team player;
- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to travel as needed;
- A keen interest in sustainability and innovation, with the ability to align sales strategies with environmentally responsible and forward-looking solutions;
